Counseling Services

• Students: Oakland University students are seen for free for the first six sessions. All sessions after the sixth session cost $12 each.
• O.U. Staff: Full-time OU employees can utilize counseling services through the Counseling Connection program. The first three sessions are $20 per session. If the employee wants to continue, the fee for subsequent sessions is based on their own income. In order to determine the sliding scale fee for treatment for both staff and general public, proof of income must be submitted, usually in the form of the previous year's 1040 IRS form.
• Cooley Law Students: Cooley Law students can be seen for up to 15 sessions at a cost of $20 per session.

• O.U. Students
  • The cost for diagnostic testing for O.U. students is $200.
  • The cost for diagnostic testing for Cooley Law students is $275.

• Students:
  • The alcohol and substance abuse assessment costs $125 dollars.
• O.U. Staff and Members of the General Community:
  • This service is not available to non-students.
• Psychiatric Services
• Students
  • Currently enrolled OU students can meet with a psychiatrist if they are involved in ongoing regularly scheduled therapy.  The cost for the initial psychiatric evaluation is $50 dollars and $25 dollars for each subsequent visit.
• O.U. Staff and Members of the General Community
• This service is not available to non-students.
