The Oakland University Alumni Association offers numerous opportunities for alumni to give of their time and talent to their alma mater through volunteer opportunities. Alumni volunteers help reach out to potential OU students, help support numerous alumni events and programming, provide advice and leadership to the OUAA through the Board of Directors, and contribute to various student and alumni programs across campus.

Alumni Admissions Ambassador Program
A collaboration between the Office of Undergraduate Admissions and the Alumni Relations Office, this exciting new program aims to engage knowledgeable and enthusiastic alumni as active participants in the university’s recruitment effort. As Oakland University continues to grow, alumni admissions ambassadors will extend the reach of traditional admissions programs in their communities.
OUAA Board of Directors
The OUAA Board is a 24-member advisory body called upon by the university to give advice on matters relating to alumni. The board governs the Alumni Association and provides counsel and advice to the Alumni Relations Office, president of Oakland University, University Relations Division and OU Board of Trustees.

ACHIEVE Program Seeking Alumni and Professional Volunteers for Networking Event
The ACHIEVE team is actively seeking volunteers for the networking event, one of the five required tasks for freshmen business students. We are contacting Alumni/Professionals/Faculty and asking that they participate in an event that is designed to allow students to practice their self-introduction, handshake, eye contact, and the skill of working a room.
We anticipate that this will be a valuable and memorable experience for both SBA students and the guest volunteers. If you are interested in volunteering for a session, please contact Laurie Shano at achieve@oakland.edu.
SBA Alumni and Friends- Join in the 40th Anniversary Celebration! The SBA is inviting alumni and friends to get involved in celebrating 40 years of excellence in business education. The 2008-2009 school year will offer several anniversary events, and we hope you will join us in making them a success. The culminating events- a golf outing, a business conference and a gala dinner in Oct 2009 - require the active support of volunteers to make it happen and make it fun. Reconnect with old friends and SBA faculty and staff and help us create a memorable celebration.
