Friends --
Oakland University is on its way to becoming a university of distinction by offering a visionary undergraduate education.
From accreditation of our teaching and physical therapy programs to being only one of a few universities to receive accreditation in music, theatre and dance in the same year, OU is gaining in prestige. Our partnerships with business and industry, such as those with DaimlerChrysler and St. John Health System, keep us on a path toward continual improvement and provide invaluable opportunities for our students and faculty.
Our undergraduate students also benefit from Oakland's involvement in research at levels reserved for graduate students at other universities. This is further encouraged through our Research Scholar program which awards 20 to 40 $1,000 student research awards each year.
Oakland is moving forward quickly, delivering quality programs in the classroom, the laboratory and in our athletics programs. Join us on our journey to becoming a university of distinction.
