Robert J. McAuley, Ph.D., Associate Dean for Educational Information Technology and Assistant Professor of Biomedical Science at the Oakland University William Beaumont School of Medicine
Dr. McAuley joined OUWB in 2009 to manage instructional technology and student information systems. He has been a key participant in the development of the LCME database and coordinated the School’s Institutional Self Study Committee during the preliminary and provisional accreditation processes of OUWB. His specialties include instructional technology and medical student information systems. Dr. McAuley was Chief Information Officer at the College of Medicine at the University of Illinois, Chicago, between 1999 and 2009 where he oversaw student information systems, instructional technology, student ePortfolios, and HIPAA compliance. He was a faculty fellow in the Honors College where he advised undergraduates preparing to enter medical school. He was adjunct assistant professor in the College of Education at the University of Illinois at Chicago between 1997 and 2012. He has been active nationally in educational and information technology programming for both the Association of American Medical Colleges and the International Association of Medical Science Educators. He has co-authored medical education videos that have been made available nationally through medical education websites.
