The Varner Box Office is open Tuesday-Friday, 3-6 p.m. from mid-September through May, and one hour before performances.

Eventually, Bobby learns that while relationships aren't perfect, they are a necessary part of “Being Alive”.

This searing and soaring autobiographical play by one of the giants of the twentieth century American Theatre deals emotionally with issues of betrayal, guilt, redemption and the death of love. The play takes place in the mind of Quentin, the narrator who stands in for the author, and is set during the period of the anti-communist witch-hunt conducted by Senator Joseph McCarthy.

The Susanphone answering service provides the backdrop for this delightful and uplifting production, in which the lines blur between a switchboard operator’s job and her penchant for eavesdropping. With book and lyrics by Betty Comden and Adolph Green, and music by Jule Styne, the score includes the classic songs, “Just in Time” and “The Party’s Over.”

This series of performances in various styles is based on the idea of the medieval festivals dramatizing stories from the Old and New Testaments. Our communal celebration will involve wide participation by students and faculty.
