These instructions will provide you with your NetID username, NetID password and how to reset your GrizzlyID PIN. You must know your GrizzlyID number for these instructions to work. If you do not know this number, please see one of the following offices:
- Students - Current or former students go to any student services office with proper identification.
- Faculty - Academic Affairs Human Resources, 517 Wilson Hall, 248-370-2195
- Staff - University Human Resources, 408 Wilson Hall, 248-370-3482
Reset GrizzlyID Pin
Visit the Oakland University NetID Administration page at https://netid.oakland.edu
1. Select: Reset/Change your GrizzlyID PIN
2. Follow the instructions to Reset your Personal Identification Number (PIN) Note: Enter GrizzlyID with capital "G" (Gxxxxxxxx). Enter date of birth in format mm/dd/yyyy (requires input of slashes).
3. For first time processors, you will be prompted to select a PIN hint question from a drop down menu and provide the answer. If you don't know your PIN hint answer you will need to contact the Helpdesk at (248) 370-4357 or email us at helpdesk@oakland.edu and request a "PIN hint answer reset".
4. Once your PIN is successfully reset, close your browser.
Obtain NetID or change NetID Password
Visit the Oakland University NetID Administration page at https://netid.oakland.edu
1. Select: Obtain your NetID account or reset your NetID password
2. Enter your GrizzlyID with a capital "G" (Gxxxxxxxx)
3. Enter new PIN (6-digit)
4. The next two fields will create and verify your NetID password
Make sure the password meets the following requirements:
- Have 8-15 alphanumeric characters
- Have at least one number and one letter
- It can not be your two last passwords
- The letter cannot be all capitals
If this process is successful, the next page will provide your NetID username. NetID usernames and NetID passwords are used to access Oakland University resources such as SAIL, Webmail, Moodle, and Oakshare.
