The following steps will help you setup your computer running Windows 7 to connect to Grizznet.
- 1. In the system tray (lower right hand corner of your screen) you will notice several icons.

- 2. Click on the wireless icon (the one with bars)

- 3. Select "grizznet"

- 4. Check "Connect automatically" and then press "Connect"

- 5. Your computer will attempt to connect to grizznet

- 6. You may notice an exclamation point over the wireless icon

- 8. Enter your NetID username and NetID password. Check the check box after reading the usage agreement

Click "Continue" and save the file download that appears. If you are
using Internet Explorer select "run" from the download prompt.

- 10. In your downloads window run "Bradford Dissolvable Agent.exe". If you are using Internet Explorer please skip this step.

The Bradford Dissolvable Agent will check your computer to ensure that
it meets the minimum security requirements for network access

- 12. If your computer meets minimum security requirements you will see this message

- 13. A new browser window should appear showing the following. After several minutes you should be able to access the internet

While the system completes the registration process, if you try to
register your device again you may receive a message stating
"Registration Failed: Host Already Registered". If you receive this
message, disconnect the device from the network (either by unplugging
the network cable or disabling the wireless network card), wait 5
minutes, and reconnect to the network. After this period of time, if
you still receive this message, please contact the OU Helpdesk (x4357)
for additional assistance.
General Troubleshooting
- If the connection does not change after step 13, restart the computer.
- If you are unable to connect to grizznet or disconnect from grizznet unexpectedly please attempt the following:
- If
you do not see steps 11 to 13 or if you receive an error that states
"unable to read policy. check your firewall settings" please restart
your computer. Next temporarily disable your firewall and anti-virus
software. Attempt to connect to grizznet and complete steps 7 to 10
again.
- If the above steps do not resolve your issue you may visit the helpdesk or send an email to helpdesk@oakland.edu with your device's mac address of your wireless card and the make and model of your device for further troubleshooting.
