There is a known issue with viewing Google contacts in Gmail due to the way Internet Explorer 9 handles frames.

There are several options available;

• Uninstall Internet Explorer version 9 and downgrade. See instructions here http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows7/how-do-i-install-or-uninstall-internet-explorer-9
• Use the "Basic HTML" view Gmail setting located at the bottom of the page.
• Use another Internet browser such as Mozilla Firefox (download at http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/fx/#desktop)
