Important considerations for transfer students
Prospective transfer students from community colleges such as Macomb Community College (MCC) or Oakland Community College (OCC) should note that there are very limited classes that transfer to OU for credit in the WHP degree. Students from these two colleges will find the transfer guides at the links below. Often there can be misinterpretation of the documents. The issue is that a student may receive MACRO, but there are major classes that are required for the program, and those courses just so happen to double count under the OU general education category for students. The transfer guides specify what needs to be completed at OU as indicated by "Specified by Major." These course would have to be completed at OU by the specific classes identify by the major. If there is any uncertainty transfer students should contact an OU School of Health Sciences advisor for clarification.

In addition, all prospective transfer students should review the WHP curriculum checklist under t "Program, Bachelor Degree" link on this WHP Website and note that where a particular course is identified, that specific course, or a direct equivalent transfer course, must be offered for the WHP degree.
