The OU Clean Energy Research Center provides students with experiential learning opportunities and encourage innovation within the OU and surrounding communities.

Major technology developments to date include:

- A biomass boiler installation
- Biomass combustion
- Liquid bio-fuel, ethanol, and biodiesel production
