The greek cottage district consists of four university-owned homes that are shared by select groups of upper-division students who belong to a student organization, fraternity, sorority, or share a common interest or program.
This small community is located on Oakland University property directly across the street from the main campus off from Adams Road near the east entrance of campus.
The two-story, 2,000-square-foot homes, which were built around 1918, once served as residences for Meadow Brook farm staff members. The university acquired the homes around 1957, when Matilda Dodge Wilson and her second husband, Alfred Wilson, donated their Meadow Brook Estate and $2 million to found Oakland University.
