George T. Matthews Apartments

The George T. Matthews Apartments offer large 900-square-foot, townhome-style units in the heart of campus living. Featuring a furnished living room and bedroom, kitchen with a dishwasher, study area, central air, patio and parking in front of your door, the Matthews Apartments are premium shared living experience.
The Matthews Apartments accommodate students who have achieved junior status and are 20 years of age or older. Occupants must be a matriculating student throughout the duration of the contract.

Furnishings
Oakland University provides much of the furniture as well as other housing items for students who live in the Matthews Apartments.

Payments include all utilities, as well as basic cable television, internet service, and garbage removal. |

Cable Television
Basic cable is included in the rent for Matthews Apartments. To access the service, you must have a cable-ready television with a coaxial cable. Satellite dishes are not permitted.
Internet Service
Students living on campus who have their own computers can access the wireless local area network to connect to the university’s computer system, Internet, e-mail, discussion groups and other computer data resources.
Laundry Service
The Matthews Apartments have two central laundry rooms with three washers, three dryers, a laundry sink and sorting table in each one. Laundry service is included in the rent; therefore, the machines are free of charge.
