CIBRE Consultancy Program

CIBRE Consultancy is a program that originated from the principle that business schools have a responsibility to educate their students with regard to the economic development of the region.

Using the three basic foundations of CIBRE -- integrative thinking, experiential learning and global understanding - creative and open minded undergraduate and graduate students are able to support organizations with limited financial resources that are exploring new opportunities to be competitive in the global marketplace. Local governments, non-profit organizations, high schools, small businesses, entrepreneurial firms, and others have benefited from CIBRE Consultancy Projects.

The CIBRE Consultancy Program projects have been used to support these organizations:
  • Tool and Die Industry (as they became a non-profit called Tool and Die Futures Initiative);
  • Non-profit organizations, such as Oakland Family Services, OPC of Rochester, OUCares, Haven and Chrysler Foundation, among others;
  • City and county governments including Eastpointe, Waterford, Clarkston, Rochester Hills, Auburn Hills, Oakland County and Macomb County, among others.
The goal of the CIBRE Consultancy Program is to become a catalyst that will provide surrounding communities with a better way to use their resources effectively as they work toward improving the quality of life of their citizens.
