What People Say About CIBRE
"Through its work, the School of
Business Administration at Oakland University is helping to bridge the
gap between displaced highly skilled workers and the jobs of the future
by forming partnerships with workers, government and entrepreneurial
firms - all with a focus on remaking Michigan."
State Representative Kim Meltzer
"CIBRE utilizes its vast resources and connections as a public
university to successfully provide a platform for discussion and create
optimum networking opportunities. The discussions provide solid footing
for new business relationships. I witnessed renewed optimism and a
structured approach utilizing university-level resources. It's rare that
a business school as renowned as Oakland University would make certain
resources, relationships and assets available."
Joe Brown, founder and president, Lintrio Marketing LLC
"One benefit is the diversity of opinion that is openly expressed from
industry, government and academia. The discussions yield intriguing
rationales, potential solutions and the cross-organizational sharing of
ideas. Listening to others can have the potential to change a few minds
and help academic institutions develop research and educational plans
necessary to address the needs of industry and create the leadership
essential for the next century.”
Michael Glovis, manager, enterprise and process systems, T-Systems of North America.
“Through the help of Dean Tanniru and
(the SBA's CIBRE at) Oakland University we hope to prove to
the community, the tool-and-die shop industry, and our government that
we can not only compete, but start winning back jobs from the low cost
countries. With a little integration of technology, and some innovative
thinking, the U.S. can reestablish its rein as the world powerhouse of
manufacturing. Furthermore, we hope, through the success of this CIBRE
program, that we can actually help shape a model of "how to do it" that
other similar industries can use to help transforms their industries
back to prosperity and a state of jobs creation.”
Bob Quinn, president at RCM Tool
