Spotlight Program of the Week
Master of Arts in Teaching in Secondary Education
Next Application Deadline:  May 1 (Fall Admission)

The Master of Arts in Teaching in secondary education (MAT-Secondary) with secondary certification is designed for individuals who already have a bachelor’s degree and wish to become certified to teach middle school or high school.

The program combines teacher education coursework augmented by three field placements in local schools. At the completion of the program, students will have earned a teaching certificate (grades 6-12) as well as graduate credit toward a master’s degree. The full master’s degree can be completed following certification.
