There are many exciting careers available to graduates of The Honors College at Oakland University!
The average number of students in Honors Colleges across the United States is around 5% of the total undergraduate population at any institution, sometimes slightly lower, sometimes slightly higher. This means that a student who graduates from an Honors College graduates in the top 5% of undergraduates in the nation. At Oakland we recognize this means serious opportunities!
There are various other ways this can be considered by employers too -- not least because Honors College students maintain a strong GPA throughout their university careers, they undertake original and important project and research work, and they engage in travel and development projects that make them strong candidates for any position in any field.
Students of The Honors College at Oakland are both part of their disciplinary Colleges and part of The Honors College, a group of high achieving students and future Oakland graduates.
