Meet & Greets are a great way for you to connect with employers on
campus throughout the fall and winter semesters. Many employers hold
Meet & Greets as a way to get acquainted with students and they do
pay attention to who they talk with. Your participation in multiple
networking opportunities can help to make a positive impression on
employers and may help increase your chances of being selected for an
on-campus interview.
Meet & Greets are more informal than structured recruiting
events and employers know that you will be visiting them between classes
and other campus activities, so it isn't required that you wear
professional business attire, but of course, it always makes a stronger
impression if you do. It is a good idea to bring your resume as that is
often a focal point of your discussion with employers. Also, come
prepared with questions for them and do research about the companies
that you will visit. This can go a long way in helping you stand out.
