Purpose
This is a lab designed to allow students to administer their own computer on an isolated Security network while working in groups of 2. Students are required to provide their own hard drives. See architecture section below.
Lab Architecture
This tutorial is intended to be used by all networking students.
This lab has the same computer workstation set up as shown below:
In the setup above the All-in-one will have connection to the internet for allowing users to download files to the other 2 PCs. This will be done using the USB switch shown below.
The USB switch will allow for the transfer of files from the Internet to the 2 PCs. First download the file(s) needed from the internet using the Mac PC and transfer the files from the Mac PC to the USB plugged into the USB Switch. Next press "Select" on the USB switch which will allow you to transfer files from the USB flash drive to the 2 PCs.
The KVM will allow users to alternate between using either of the 2 PCs on one monitor this will also allow the 2 PCs to share a keyboard and mouse.
By pressing button 1 you will Display PC1 and by pressing 2 you will alternate the display to show PC 2.

Tutorial 1 - Installing a dual boot environment on your hard drive.
requirements:
- One hard drive with at least a 40gig capacity.
- Windows XP installation disk
- SECS account (to acquire product key)
STEP 1:
Installing windows XP professional:
1.Insert the installation CD into the CD-ROM drive and then turn off the computer.
2.Insert the removable HDD into the specified slot as shown below.
3. Run the through the default installation of Windows XP. Use
this tutorial for better instruction

4. After the completion of the installation you need to get the key from the this
site.
5. When you are there click "Add to Cart." This will prompt you to login using your SECS Account.
6. Once you login click "Checkout" this will take you to a page listing some License Agreements click "I Accept" at the bottom of the page then on final page the site will generate your key.

Installing Linux OpenSuse 12.1:
