Paul Krebsbach, D.D.S., Ph.D.
 Paul H. Krebsbach, DDS, PhD, is the Roy H. Roberts Professor of Biomedical Engineering at the University of Michigan. He serves as the Chair of the Department of Biologic and Materials Sciences and Division of Prosthodontics. Dr Krebsbach received his D.D.S. degree from the University of Minnesota and his certificate in Periodontology and Ph.D. in Biomedical Sciences from the University of Connecticut Health Center. Prior to joining the faculty at the University of Michigan, he served as a Senior Staff Fellow for three years at the National Institute of Dental and Craniofacial Research. His research program focuses on the cell and molecular biology of mineralized tissues with an emphasis on gene therapy-directed osteogenesis and bone marrow stromal cell biology.

Dr. Krebsbach has served on many local and national committees, including chairing the AADR William J. Gies Award Committee and the AADR and IADR Hatton Award Committees, a term on the AADR Constitution Committee and serving on the AADR Board of Directors for 3 years as Treasurer. He served on the American Association for the Advancement of Science Electorate Nominating Committee and completed a term as Member at Large. He currently is a chartered member of the Moss IRB Musculoskeletal Tissue Engineering study section. He is on the editorial boards of the Journal of Bone and Mineral Research and the International Journal of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. He has organized IADR symposia, and Chaired the Midwest Tissue Engineering Consortium and 9th International Conference on the Chemistry and Biology of Mineralized Tissues.
