NX Troubleshooting

NX Session Problems

Occasionally the NX software will not log out properly when you close the NX window. When this happens, you will not be able to reconnect to the NX server.

To fix this, you will have to end all of your processes on the NX server.

To do this, use an ssh client like putty to log into the General Purpose Linux Server you are try to connect to. You will be asked for your SECS username and password. Once you're logged in, you will be able to type commands.

To end your session, type:

pkill -u <your username>
This will end all processes owned by you, including your SSH session. So you will be logged out of ssh. Next try to log into NX again. It may require two logins before it connects you. If you are still having problems, Contact Us
