1st Midwest Conference on Stem Cell Biology & Therapy (archive)

Submission Requirements
Please review the following submission guidelines before submitting the abstract:

Type of Presentations
The abstracts can be submitted as an oral or poster presentation.

  • Oral presentations are limited to 10 minutes for presentation and 5 minutes for discussion. Authors should prepare presentation media that are clear enough to be seen by a large group in a room that is not completely dark. A speaker ready room will be available on-site for review of slides, video or computer projection before presentation.

The abstracts will be reviewed by the scientific program committee to select a limited number of abstracts.

  • Poster presenters will be assigned a board to display text and other illustrative material. Posters will be on display for the entire meeting. There will be a 2 hour presentation period. Presenters should be present at their assigned poster board during the hours of presentation to discuss their work with attendees. The recommended dimensions for your poster are 39" X 48". 

The posters will be reviewed by the scientific program committee to select abstracts for poster presentation.

Please indicate your willingness to present as a poster if the scientific program committee is unable to accept your abstract to present for an oral presentation.  If the committee is not able to offer the submitter speaking slot, then the abstract is automatically considered for a poster presentation if not picked to be presented orally.

Abstract Title
Titles are limited to 150 characters, including spaces.

Presenter and Co-Authors
Please provide first name, last name, affiliation, full mailing address, e-mail address, phone and trainee status (student, resident, post-doc) of the  presenter. Presenters will be notified regarding the acceptance and presentation details.

Oral presenters are required to disclose their financial relationships for the purposes of fulfilling requirements of continuing medical education programs.

Please indicate the most appropriate scientific category of your abstract. The program committee reserves the right to reassign abstracts.

Abstracts are limited to 3,000 characters, not including spaces.

Keywords
Please provide 3-5 keywords that best describe the research presented in the abstract.

Student and Junior Investigator Awards
Student and Junior Investigator Awards will be presented to graduate students, residents, and postdoctoral fellows based on the submitted abstract and the presentation of the work at the conference.

Travel Grants
A limited number of awards will be available for travel assistance for students, residents, and post-doc. Travel grant applicants are required to submit an abstract. The applicant must indicate during submission the submission her/his intention to apply. A short justification and a recommendation letter for the mentor are required.

 Presentation Agreement
Acceptance of the terms of the presentation agreement is required of all those who submit an abstract for consideration for presentation at the 1st Midwest Conference on Stem Cell Biology and Therapy.
