Dr. Scott Meyer-Noted Ceramicist
Dr. Scott Meyer, an award winning ceramicist, recently visited The Honors College and gave students and faculty the opportunity to watch him create a unique piece of art which will be housed in the HC after it is fired and glazed. (See photos and video below)
Dr. Meyer has been a ceramic artist for over twenty years. His work has appeared in numerous national venues including galleries in New York City, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Delaware, Texas, Kentucky, and Alabama. He has traveled extensively in the United States researching wood firing kiln strategies and his own pioneering work in kiln design has produced the first anagama kiln in the state and the only such kiln in the country built and fired by undergraduate students.
