Description:
This course covers biological databases and algorithms for
information retrieval from biological databases. Stochastic
methodologies for modeling and searching biological motifs and patterns
for functional inference are discussed. Algorithms for pair-wise and
multiple sequence alignment, phylogenetic reconstruction and gene
detection are also covered.
Prerequisites: CSE 445 or equivalent.
