(0 credit)
Description:
The course emphasizes microprocessor-based real-time computer
systems design for embedded systems applications. Topics include
interfacing microprocessors with external systems such as sensors,
displays, and keyboards; real-time software development considerations;
microcontroller subsystems such as clock and timer modules, memory
subsystems, analog interfacing, and serial communications; control area
network (CAN); real-time operating systems. Laboratory and design
projects. This course is cross listed with an undergraduate course.
Credit cannot be earned for more than one of CSE 470, CSE 570, ECE 470,
