Look for the Register Online Icon through out the website to indicate programs and services that can be enrolled in online; then click the icon next to a program/service that you want to enroll in to be brought to the online registration page.

How do I get a log-in for online registration / How do I activate my online account?
Visit http://www.oakland.edu/formbuilder/forms.aspx?formid=3502&sid=90 to request your Campus Recreation Online account activation. As part of the activation process, you will be e-mailed a username and password in separate e-mails.
NOTE:  For accounts that have more than one member, account username and password are issued to the primary account holder.  In most cases, this is the OU Student, Faculty, or Staff member.  For Affiliate accounts, the primary account holder is the individual who first purchased a membership to the Recreation Center.

When will my username and password arrive in my e-mail inbox?
Your username and password will arrive as soon as your online account has been activated. Activation of your online account for Campus Recreation could take up to two business days.

How do I get a receipt to show that I have paid?
After a successful payment, you will be returned to a screen with a link to your receipt. The receipt is in pdf format so you will need Adobe® Acrobat Reader in order to view your receipt. A copy of the receipt will also be sent to the e-mail address on file with the Recreation Center of the account holder.  There is also an opportunity to e-mail the receipt to an additional person on the receipt confirmation page.

Why can’t I sign up for memberships on line?
Membership to the Recreation Center require an affiliation which must be verified in person at the Recreation Center, therefore initial membership enrollment cannot take place online. Once you have a membership, you will be able to renew the membership online.

What does it mean when I get a “call the office” message and not a receipt?
Unfortunately, with all technology, periodically there is a glitch in the process. When you get a message that indicates “call the office”, please call 248-370-4732, select option 4, and leave a message. In your message, please include your name, daytime contact number, e-mail and what items were in your cart when you experienced the problem. Please also log out of your online portal account, which will clear your cart and unlock your account for us to view. Someone from the office will contact you within one business day to resolve the problem. You can also e-mail the information to rec@oakland.edu.

What credit cards are accepted?
Oakland University currently accepts Visa®, MasterCard ®, and Discover® Network.

Is my credit card information stored in the online registration system / Can I store my credit card information in the online registration system for future use?
For your safety/security the online registration system only records successful payments and a credit card mask with the last 4 digits for your receipt.  Since the online registration system does not store credit card information, you will need to enter a credit card for each online transaction.

Can I sign my family members up for programs on line?
Yes, as long as your family members are in your account and have a membership to the Recreation Center, you can sign up family members for programs using the online registration system. To have family members added to your account, please stop by the Welcome Center on your next visit.

How will I know if the class is going to run?
Classes will be evaluated one week prior to their start for minimum enrollment. If a class is cancelled because it has not meet minimum enrollment, you will be notified via e-mail.


How do I get a refund if the class doesn’t run?
If a class is cancelled by Campus Recreation, a full refund will be credited back to the credit card that was used to originally used in the registration process. If this happens, you will receive a credit confirmation from the online credit card processor and also a receipt from Campus Recreation showing the cancellation of the program.

What does a zero dollar class mean?
This program requires pre-registration, but does not require a fee. To enroll in this program, please select the program into your shopping cart and check-out. You will not need to enter any credit card information to enroll in a zero fee program.

Why am I the only family member listed in the drop down box?
At this time you are the only one in your family that has had a membership to the Recreation Center.  To have family members added to your account, please stop by the Welcome Center on your next visit.

How do I register my IM Team and pay the fee (if any)?
The team captain can register for the IM Sport of choice and pay via the online registration system in the same way they would if they were to register at the Welcome Desk of the Recreation Center.

Is there a "key" to the types of FitPasses I can purchase  /  What does VBE, VGE, VBM at the beginning of the pass type mean?
FitPasses that begin with a VBE are for OU Benefit Eligible Access employees and allow access to both Group Exercise and Mind/Body Classes.
FitPasses that begin with a VGE are for OU Students and Campus Recreation Members and allow access to Group Exercise classes.
FitPasses that begin with a VMB are for OU Students and Campus Recreation Members and allow access to Mind/Body Classes.
