The partnership with OU INC, OU's SmartZone business incubator, is a strong asset of the I2B and its participants. It's here where I2B entrepreneurs and their team members can tap the expertise of OU INC professionals to learn about start-up costs, investment strategies and more.
Those ventures that "graduate" from the I2B to the OU INC can take advantage of the opportunity to house their business at the incubator to help minimize start-up expenses, leverage shared costs and form a network with fellow entrepreneurs who call the incubator home.
“Many of the innovations developed through applied research never make it to fruition. This program will help accelerate and expand the number of those next generation ideas and bring them to market,” says Amy Butler, executive director, OU INC.
"One OU INC core mission is to accelerate ideas to market, and to help entrepreneurs be successful by giving them a safe place to grow, and where they can learn side by side with other budding entrepreneurs," adds Butler, "This program prepares them to launch the business or product, and we help them get there. It’s a great partnership and we are excited about the program.”
