Opportunities for Non-Majors

Oakland University Pep BandOakland University Music, Theatre and Dance offers many opportunities for students who are not music, theatre or dance majors to continue their performing arts experiences and education. The Golden Grizzly Band is a great opportunity for non-music majors to continue to play, but some of our other music ensembles are open to majors and non-majors alike.

Non-majors may also audition for or volunteer to be part of the crew for our theatre productions. A list of theatre performance opportunities is available online, and information is posted throughout the year on the Theatre callboard, which is located in Varner Hall on the first floor.

In addition, many of our music, theatre and dance courses help non-majors fulfill their general education requirements.

We invite you to browse our site and contact us at mtd@oakland.edu if you have any questions. You can view a full list of music, theatre and dance ensembles, private lessons and classes HERE.
