Carnegie Corporation (Report) - A Time to Act: An Agenda for Advancing Adolescent Literacy for College and Career Success : Time to Act is the capstone report of Carnegie Council for Advancing Adolescent Literacy (Council). It pinpoints adolescent literacy as a cornerstone of the current education reform movement, upon which efforts such as the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act must be built. Time to Act is released with five corresponding reports, which delve deeper into how to advance literacy and learning for all students, including such topics as the cost of implementing adolescent literacy programs and reading in the disciplines.
International Reading Association (IRA) - Includes news, meetings and events, selections from print journals such as The Reading Teacher, Reading Online, an electronic journal of research and practice for K-12 teachers, and Children's, Teachers' and Young Adults' Choices reading suggestion lists.

The ABC's of the Writing Process - Created by a teacher in Canada, this site covers all of the steps of writing for students including brainstorming, mapping, editing, and references. Teachers can also write for a book of lessons and worksheets.
Giggle Poetry - Poems, activities, and contests available for elementary students plus some tips for teachers at this site.
Mr. William Shakespeare and the Internet - An annotated guide to scholarly resources. Includes a Shakespeare timeline, genealogical chart, timeline summary chart, and bibliograpy.
