Learning Disabilities Online - Information about different learning disabilities, conference schedule, and kid's page. Teacher page includes strategies, bulletin board for exchanging ideas, frequently asked questions, and book recommendations.
National Information Center for Children and Youth with Disabilities (NICHCY) - A "national information and referral center that provides information on disabilities and disability-related issues for families, educators, and other professionals." Includes printable publications, news, and frequently asked questions.
Second Language Learners
Cooperative Children's Book Center (CCBC) - Bibliography of 40 Spanish/English Bilingual books recommended and reviewed by the Library of the School of Education at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
Dave's ESL Cafe - a virtual community of teachers and learners with job forums, chat rooms, language help and many links to more ESL resources.
English Language Listening Lab Online (ELLLO) - is a free online listening resource of over 1,000 listening activities designed especially for ESL and EFL students and techers, targeting specific skills, needs and interests. Most listening activities include images, an interactive quiz, transcript of the audio and downloadable MP3.
EnglishClub - Resources for both students and teachers for the study of grammar, spelling, pronunciation and usage, playing games, chatting and interacting with other English language learners. English Club is written mainly in British English, taking The Concise Oxford Dictionary of Current English as a reference, but has pages about other varieties of English such as American or Canadian. As a reference for American English, Webster's New World College Dictionary is used.
ESL Gold - Over a thousand pages of free information and resources for both teachers and students. All materials are organized by skill and level, thematically organized into categories such as "Speaking," "Reading," "Listening," and "Writing."
