Construction Photo Record - First Steel Beam Set in Place 1-19-11

A major turning point in the construction of any new building is the installation of the first piece of steel. On a chilly 19 degree day on January 19, 2011, the first piece of steel was set in place in the northwest corner of Oakland University's Human Health Building. Within minutes, multiple columns of steel had been installed along the building's north wall.
