What is S.O.P.E.?

S.O.P.E. is a student-led initiative that strives to promote environmental awareness and support sustainability projects on the campus of Oakland University. Our goal is to make our campus as “green” as possible -- but we cannot achieve this goal on our own! We need the help of students, faculty, and staff. Part of our mission is to involve and empower OU community members by giving them the tools they need to achieve sustainability in their lives and around OU.

The Eco Interest Living Learning Community

The Eco-Interest residents are agroup of students who live on our Eco-Floor (2 West Vandenberg), and are interested in learning more about sustainable lifestyles and “greening” OU. Led by their S.O.P.E. team leader, the students attend meetings, participate in field trips and programs, and help organize events, all while working together to maintain a sustainable lifestyle on their Eco-Floor.

Please check us out the Eco-Interest Facebook page!
