The Multimedia Service Center is equipped to service your large-format printing needs. For those who wish to design their own documents, we accept files for print in most common document types--such as Microsoft PowerPoint and Publisher, Adobe Acrobat and InDesign, and all OpenDocument formats, or we can design documents for you. If you choose to design your own document, here are some things to keep in mind:
- One axis of the document must be 42 inches (106.68 cm) or less.
- Print materials are billed at $4/sqft; lamination materials, $2/sqft.
- Labor is billed at $25/hr.
- Print requests are due at least seven days prior to the date of expected delivery, more lead-time is required for larger requests.
- CSITS may accept work requests under the seven day lead-time requirement at its discretion; there will be a $75 rush fee associated with each rush work request that is processed.
- No print requests will be accepted during the fourteen days (or ten business days, whichever is greater) immediately preceeding a semester start date.
To initiate a work request for an academic research poster or large-format print, send the following information by opening a ticket in Footprints. If you are unfamiliar with using the Footprints system, a brief tutorial can be found here.
- Name - First and last name of the faculty or staff member initiating the request
- Department - Department for which the above named is employed
- Phone Number - On-campus telephone preferred, email or other phone is also acceptable
- Fund Number - Account to which services are to be billed; cash and personal check are not accepted
- Description - Include the desired document size (width x height), whether the document requires lamination, the date by which media is expected to be delivered, and any information pertinent to this request
- Attachment - Remember to attach any documents associated with the request
Your work request will be considered accepted once you have received confirmation by email or telephone from CSITS, usually within one business day.
