Improving Your Study and Learning Skills
Students sometimes approach faculty members and ask questions such as "What can I do to improve my grade?" On some occasions these questions are precursors to requests for "extra credit" exercises, but sometimes students are truly seeking guidance of a more fundamental nature: Is there a better way to study, to learn, or to solve problems? McGraw Hill Publishers have asked this question of faculty across the country, and they have posted a number of short essays on their website:
McGraw Hill Study Tips
.
We encourage you to read through this collection to find ways to improve your critical thinking skills, how to learn while in class, to manage time, perform better on tests, study efficiently and effectively for tests, write better term papers, and solve word/logic problems through means other than guessing.
Improving Your Writing Skills
