Apiary Science in Schools

If you and your school students are interested in learning about the biology of honey bees or the culture of beekeeping, contact Dr. Dyanne Tracy to learn about opportunities to visit the Oakland University Apiary between May and September. If your class is interested in a demonstration with hands-on activities related to honey bees between October and April, that can also be arranged. If you are interested in a graduate level course where you can learn how to establish an apiary at your own school or nearby nature center, EST643 might be perfect for you.
