Interview Types
Behavioral- The premise behind behavioral
interviewing is that the most accurate predictor of future performance
is past performance in similar situations.
Career Fair- Career fairs are events in which employers and job seekers interface and network about career opportunities.
Individual- In individual interviews, employers will
likely ask you traditional questions that they ask of every applicant
such as “Tell me about yourself” or “Where do you see yourself in 5
years?”
Informational- The purpose is not to get a job, but to get information about jobs you might like so you can determine if they fit your interests and personality.
Mock- Mock Interviews provide you with the
opportunity to practice your interviewing skills in an environment
similar to a real interview with an actual employer.
On-Site- On-site interviews allow a company to obtain a more in-depth assessment of potential candidates before making a job offer.
Phone-Phone Interviews are often used by
employers as an initial screening to clarify skills, career paths,
goals, and personality traits.
