SARS Information
Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS) is a respiratory illness that has been reported in Asia, North America and Europe. It is important to note that Oakland University does not have any reported cases of SARS among members of its campus community. There also have been no confirmed cases of SARS in Oakland County or southeast Michigan.

The university expects everyone in its community to act in a reasonable and responsible manner. Those who feel they have symptoms of SARS are asked to leave the campus community and contact local health officials to identify the appropriate course of action for treatment.

While Oakland University does not anticipate any problems in relation to this illness, information is available on this Web page to provide answers to commonly asked questions or to direct those with questions to the proper source for information.
