Biography
Dr. Doherty received her Bachelors of Science degree in Physical Therapy from Northwestern University ; a Masters of Arts degree in Health Care Administration from Central Michigan University and a PhD in Anatomy from Michigan State University . She has also worked as professor and coordinator for the Physical Therapist Assistant Program at Delta College, and was the Chairperson for the Health and Wellness Division. Dr. Doherty is certified as an Ergonomics Assessment Specialist and co-authored a book on ergonomics titled, "Make Ergonomics Work for You." She developed the Comprehensive Cancer Rehab Program at St. Mary's of Michigan. Her research will encompass cancer survivors and the importance of proper treatment for the side effects caused by surgery, radiation, chemotherapy and hormonal therapies.
