Hilbert Schemes of Points
Abstract
I
will talk about the Hilbert schemes of points on a tame
Deligne-Mumford stack. Roughly speaking, they are the parameter spaces
of points on a stack. First, I will review the definition and examples
of Deligne-Mumford stacks and relation with orbifolds. Then I will
discuss results on smoothness, connectedness and Betti numbers of
Hilbert schemes of points on a scheme. Finally, we generalize these
results to Hilbert schemes of points on a Deligne-Mumford stack.
