Annual Giving FAQs
We appreciate your annual support of Oakland University. Every gift makes an impact on the university’s ability to achieve our mission to provide a distinctive education that prepares students to become leaders in their local and global communities.

A thank you letter and tax receipt are sent to all donors upon receipt of a gift.

Annual gifts of $100 or more are recognized by listing in the annual Donor Honor Roll, published in the spring edition of OU Magazine.

Cumulative Recognition Societies
Oakland also has a cadre of giving societies giving societies that recognize lifetime cumulative giving.

For publication and other recognition purposes, the recognition year at Oakland runs January through December.
