Modular Polynomials of Genus 2

Abstract

Modular polynomials of level N are polynomials that parametrize degree N isogenies of elliptic curves.  There are some attempts to generalize this to higher genus.  It does seem that computing such polynomials in genus 2, even for small N, is quite difficult.  We will describe these polynomials in genus 2 and show some computational results.
