The Master of Educational Studies (32 credit hours) offers certified teachers an opportunity to further strengthen their teacher skills as they develop instructional leadership roles within building and district.

Fifteen full-time faculty with expertise in a wide range of scholarship provide graduate students with opportunities to partner in research design and data collection, curriculum development, and/or co-authoring opportunities.

Upon admission, a TDES faculty member will serve as an adviser. Please bring a M.Ed Plan of Study Form (.pdf) to the initial advising session. Specific requirements for the degree can be found in the current Graduate Catalog. The schedule of courses for upcoming semesters can be found on SAIL.
For prospective students who have already earned their Master's degree, but are interested in taking a graduate course, we have a variety of high interest elective courses. Most of these electives can be taken for 1, 2, 3, or 4 credits to meet specific professional development needs.
