A parent or legal guardian, who is a member, must enter the facility with their children under 18 years old and must accompany their children under 16 years old at all times in the facility.
- Children 7 years old and younger should be within an arm’s length of their parent or guardian in the same area of the facility.
- Children 8-15 years old must be supervised by a parent or guardian in the same activity area.
- Children under 16 years old may not use the spa, fitness center or be present during personal training sessions. (Exception: children who have completed the T.G.I.F. program).
- Children ages 16-18 must enter the facility with a parent or legal guardian member, but do not need to be accompanied by that individual at all times while using general recreational space. However, the parent or legal guardian must remain in the Rec Center during the child’s visit. These children are able to participate in fitness classes and may swim and use the spa and fitness center. Note: Children ages 16 and 17 need to be accompanied by an adult when using the fitness center.
- Young adult members (18-22 years old) will be admitted to the facility upon showing a valid SpiritCard ID or Rec Center issued ID. They may use any aspect of the facility available to other members.
Parents or guardians are expected to be in a position to provide adequate supervision at all times. If the child is not with a parent or legal guardian, a member of the facility who is over the age of 18 must accompany him/her. The same standard of parental supervision will be expected of the sponsoring member.
Unsafe or inappropriate behavior will result in the child being asked to leave the activity area.
