Phone Interviews

Phone Interviews are often used by employers as an initial screening to clarify skills, career paths, goals, and personality traits.
If they get a good impression and feel you answered their questions satisfactorily, they may then schedule a face to face interview with you. To prepare for a phone interview:
  • Minimize noise and distractions and ignore call waiting
  • Remain calm and sound positive
  • Have your resume in front of you and have questions prepared for the employer
  • Take notes and write down questions
Remember, this is the employer’s first impression of you. How you do in the phone interview will indicate if you move onto the next level of interviews.
