Faculty Extension Site Information
Dear Instructor,
Oakland University welcomes you to the extension sites at Birmingham Seaholm High School and at the Macomb Intermediate School District Building. A map of our location is available on this site to help you locate our office and your classroom.
Both The Oakland University Center-Birmingham and the Macomb Intermediate School District Building are with out an on-site administrator so please call (248) 370-3285.
The below listed forms need to be completed and turned into the OUC-B office. These forms can be downloaded from this website.
We need a new form completed by you for each semester so please complete this form and return it to us as soon as possible. Please attach a copy of your course syllabus for the class you are teaching this semester. You may fax this information to us at: (248) 370-4319.
If you would like to have audio-visual equipment to use, you must request it in writing by completing this form. This equipment is rented from Birmingham for a fee and requires a one-week advance notice for usage. Please reserve this equipment only on the dates needed. If equipment has been reserved the department will be charged for it even if you do not use it.
*No A/V equipment will be provided for you unless you request it in advance. We only have 4 LCD projectors, and they are the property of the School of Business Administration, therefore, SBA Faculty has first priority when reserving them. You may turn in requests at any time throughout the semester but at least ONE WEEK IN ADVANCE of your need and we will attempt to fulfill your request.
If you need to report any problems, questions or concerns you may have about the facility or your requested equipment please complete this report.
GENERAL INFORMATION
Emergency School Closing - 2 possibilities
If Oakland University is closed for any reason, the extension sites in Birmingham and Macomb will be closed as well. Please call the University's Storm Closing Hotline at (248) 370-2000.
If Birmingham Public Schools (BPS) is closed due to inclement weather or for any reason, there will be no classes at the OUC-B, even if Oakland University is open. To find out if the OUC-B is closed call (248) 203-3000. Information is also available on their web page at www.birmingham.k12.mi.us.
If Macomb Intermediate School District is closed due to inclement weather or for any reason, there will be no classes at the Macomb Intermediate School District Building, even if Oakland University is Open. To find out if the Macomb Intermediate School District is closed call (586) 226-8462.
Support Services
You are expected to use the secretarial support services provided on the main campus. You must bring any needed supplies for yourself and your students. The Oakland University Center Office DOES NOT provide copy services or classroom supplies.
Classrooms
Classrooms will be opened 15 minutes prior to the beginning of class. All classes are expected to be completed and all persons out of the building by 10:00pm at the OUC-B. Please be aware that we are sharing these rooms with other students. Please be considerate and leave the room in order, if you rearrange the desks please return them to their original position before your class leaves. Please also erase your work on the class boards when you leave.
