Accelerator Client: OU INC enters into a signed business agreement with Accelerator Clients to provide a full compliment of services to assist them in accelerating their ideas to market. The services are customized to fit the business needs and may include a business advisory board, guidance and assistance with applications for funds through state or local resources; introductions and presentations to investors, as well as provide financial pro forma, and assistance in applying for SmartZone entrepreneurial competitions and grants. Accelerator Clients also have access to Oakland University (OU) faculty, students, and other OU resources as they are available and access to the facility with prior notice.

Tenant Client: Includes the same benefits as an Accelerator Client with the addition of office space at OU INC or workspace in the Clean Energy Research Center (CERC).

Affiliate Client: Clients that engage with OU INC for a select purpose or limited access to resources may do so as an affiliate client.

Technology Resource Client: OU INC works with businesses that are developing new technologies, whether start up or growth stage businesses. A technology resource client may also be a business seeking energy evaluation resources or technology demonstration opportunities as well. Often technology clients will be engaged through the Clean Energy Research Center of OU INC.
