Directions to Oakland University

FOR GPS DEVICES: The Oakland University campus address is 2200 N Squirrel Road, Rochester, MI 48309. However, to locate specific buildings on campus, please refer to the directional instructions below and/or the campus map for navigating assistance once you arrive on campus.

The OUWB School of Medicine is located in O’Dowd Hall and is identified as building 28 on the campus map. On-campus parking is available free of charge and on a first-come, first-serve basis. Parking is available directly outside O’Dowd Hall in lot P16 or in the parking structure at P29. The best entrance to access these parking lots is East Oakland Drive off of Walton Blvd. A PDF version of the map is available for your convenience.

OUWB events at Kresge Library: Kresge Library is identified as building 4 on the campus map. Parking is available in lot P36. From Squirrel Road, turn onto Pioneer Drive. Continue to the first stop sign and turn left on Library Drive. Parking lot P36 is the third (last) lot on your right. A PDF version of the map is available for your convenience.

OUWB events at the Oakland Center: The Oakland Center is identified as building 13 on the campus map. Parking is available in lot P1. We suggest you enter campus from the main entrance at University Drive. At the roundabout, take the second right onto Meadow Brook Road. Parking is available in lot P1 directly across from the Oakland Center.

Airports

Visitors may choose to fly into either Detroit Metro Airport (DTW) located in Romulus, MI (approximately 50 miles southwest of Oakland University) or Bishop International Airport (FNT) located in Flint, MI (approximately 40 miles north of Oakland University).

Ground Transportation & Car Rental Agencies

Both Detroit Metro and Bishop International Airports have car rental agencies and ground transportation vendors on site.

DAS Transportation offers special rates for round trip airport transportation. Their rates are $137 for Detroit Metropolitan Airport (DTW) and $72 for Bishop International Airport (FNT). Email DAS Transportation at dastransportation@yahoo.com or call (248) 790-4334 to book a reservation. Ask for the Oakland University rates.
Metro Cars offers round trip airport transportation at a rate of $196 ($98 each way, not including gratuity). They accept cash or credit as forms of payment, which can be given directly to your driver. Call (734) 946-5700 to make a reservation.

Student Host Program

The Medical Student Government offers a student-run host program as one option for lodging while you are in town. Assignments are made on a first-come, first-serve basis. Please visit the student host program web site for more information.
