Robert McAuley is the Associate Dean for Educational Information Technology and Clinical Assistant Professor of Biomedical Science. Dr. McAuley has an extensive and diverse work history at the University of Illinois at Chicago, serving as Chief Information Officer, Adjunct Assistant Professor, Associate Dean for Informational Resources, and Assistant Dean. He most recently served as a member of the AAMC Group on Informational Resources steering committee. His interests include medical education, instructional technology, and medical cognition.

Kathleen E. Doyle, M.Ed.
Instructional Designer
Kathleen is an Instructional Designer in the Oakland University William Beaumont School of Medicine. An Oakland University graduate and Michigan native, Kathleen received her Master of Education Degree with a major in Instructional Technology from Wayne State University (WSU). She has experience in the field of higher education and distance learning from General Motors Corporation (GM) as a Business and Site Administrator for the GM Technical Education Program. She has worked as a Web Content Manager for the Wayne State University Conflict Resolution Education for Teacher Education (CRETE) Grant. Her interests include message design, web-based learning environments, the use of simulations & games in learning, illustration and animation. Kathleen hopes to complete the Oakland University Post-Master’s Certificate in Higher Education.

Dawn Gorris
Helpdesk Technician
Dawn Gorris serves as a Helpdesk Technician for the Oakland University William Beaumont School of Medicine. Dawn came to OU after providing technical support in a K-12 educational environment for the past ten years. Her experience includes computer hardware and peripheral support, webpage design and maintenance and application support and training. Prior to that Dawn worked as a data processing manager and technical support liaison for Electronic Data Systems and a data processing clerk for Ford Motor Company.

Fred Haydon
Helpdesk Technician
Fred Haydon serves as the Helpdesk Technician for the William Beaumont School of Medicine. A Michigan native, Fred is a graduate of Eastern Michigan University where he earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Communication Technology. Fred comes to OU with 15 years experience as a Data Specialist, Helpdesk Technician and a Macintosh Workstation Manager.

Timothy French, MS ITM
Director of School of Medicine Information Technology
Timothy French is the Information Technology Project Manager for the Oakland University William Beaumont School of Medicine. His primary role of service entails the design, development, implementation, and support of administrative information systems for the School of Medicine. Prior to joining the School of Medicine in June 2010, Tim has been employed at Oakland in the Office of University Technology Services since May 1990. While he was there, he provided a variety of services involving database administration, security administration, applications support, systems analysis, electronic file transfer, report writing, and project management.

Janail Silver, MBA
Director of School of Medicine Records and Registration
Janail Silver is the Director of Records and Registration at the Oakland University William Beaumont School of Medicine. She is responsible for course scheduling, registration, and records maintenance. Janail comes to Oakland with over five years of experience in enrollment services. She earned both her Bachelor of Science in Business Management and Master of Business Administration from Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University. Her interests include enrollment management and providing students with exceptional customer service.

Melonie Summers
Electronic Resources Manager
Melonie Summers serves as the Electronic Resources Manager for the Oakland University William Beaumont School of Medicine. She manages the Oakland University William Beaumont School of Medicine's helpdesk, website, photography and all of the school's social media initiatives. She also designs marketing material for the School of Medicine. Her previous positions as Helpdesk Technician, Systems Specialist, Mac Specialist and Systems Analyst has given her many experiences in the field of information technology. Melonie earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Management Information Systems from Oakland University in 2006.

David Zhu, M. Eng.
Database Administrator
David Zhu serves as the Database Administrator for the Oakland University William Beaumont School of Medicine. David received his Master of Engineering degree with a major in Computer Engineering from Wayne State University. He has experiences in database administration, system design & analysis, instructional support, application support, reporting service development and server administration, etc. His primary role of services in OUWB School of Medicine involves the design, development, implementation, administration and support of database systems, database warehouses and administrative reporting services. Prior to joining the School of Medicine in November 2010, David has been employed at OU School of Business Administration as Information Technology Analyst since May 2001.
