Bill Rogers is the golf and managing director of Oakland University's Golf and Learning Center. He joined the university in 1977 when Katke-Cousins Golf Course first opened. He has implemented many programs for both Katke-Cousins and R&S Sharf golf courses that have proven to be successful for the university and surrounding community.
Rogers currently serves as honorary president of the Michigan Section PGA. Dedicated to his profession, he served six years on the Oldsmobile Scramble Advisory Board in conjunction with the Oldsmobile Division of General Motors. He has competed in local PGA golf events and briefly on the PGA Tour in 1981. In 1989, the Michigan Section PGA awarded Rogers the distinguished honor of Junior Golf Leader for his dedication to teaching more that 1,000 junior golfers through the Oakland University Golf Camp Program.
Head Golf Professional
Perry Busse
Perry Busse started at OU's Golf and Learning Center in 2006. He has been in the PGA since 1989 and a class A member of the PGA of America since 1993. He has worked at Pheasant Ridge Golf Course in Cedar Falls, Iowa, before moving to Michigan where he worked at Great Oaks Country Club and Carls Golfland before coming to OU.
Busse brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to OU. He is responsible for the daily operations of both Katke-Cousins and R&S Sharf golf courses. His wife, Mary Jo, also is a golf professional at Great Oaks Country Club and they have two children, Michael and Brooke.

Assistant Golf Professional
Jeremy Moses
In 2007, Jeremy Moses joined Oakland University's Golf and Learning Center as the assistant golf professional. He is originally from New York and is a graduate of the State University of New York at Delhi (B.A. Golf Course Management: Superintendent). He brings with him more than four years of experience as an assistant golf professional at the Delhi College Golf Course and two years working as a superintendent intern. While working as the assistant golf professional at Delhi, he was actively involved in teaching individual and group lessons for all ages and also growing the junior golf clinics each year.
Moses prides himself on exceptional customer service and strives to continue Oakland University's reputation as a top-notch facility. He looks forward to the opportunity to meet and work with the Oakland University membership, staff and community.

Head Golf Coures Superintendent
Tom Schall
Schall started in January 2003 as superintendent of both courses at Oakland University's Golf and Learning Center. He comes from Club Corporation of America where he was employed as one of their top agronomists. Most recently, he was assigned to the River Creek Club in Leesburg, Va., and prior to that, he managed the 36-hole Oak Pointe Country Club golf property in Brighton, Mich.
Schall has golf course experience dating back to 1979, which includes experiences at both Oakland Hills and Dearborn Country Club. He is a graduate of the Golf Turf Management Program at Michigan State University and has been a certified golf course superintendent since 1995.

Julie McCarrel
Office Assistant

Julie McCarrel started working for the Golf and Learning Center as a member of the office staff in May 2001. She came from OU's Office of the Registrar after serving 17 years in that department. She coordinates and schedules many events and tournaments for the Golf and Learning Center. She maintains the golf course database, assists with the hiring of employees and composes correspondence. In addition, she works with the golf and managing director on PGA activities and never has a typical daily schedule.

Kelly Carter 
Business Manager
Kelly Carter has been with Oakland University as a business manager since 1998. She started as the manager of Student Business Services in May 1998 and became the business manager of the Golf and Learning Center in September 2003. Carter is an alumna of Oakland University, earning her BS in accounting in 1988. Her previous experience includes working as a CPA in public accounting for three years as well as the finance director/treasurer of the Village of Lake Orion for seven years. Carter is involved in budget preparation and analysis, event planning, and the day-to-day business operations of the Golf and Learning Center.
